Chhab Talab, also known as Chab Talab, is a historic lake located in the Center of City, Dahod, Gujarat. Believed to have been established during the medieval period, it was likely used as a water source by royal armies, including those of King Siddhraj Jaisingh, on their way to Malwa. Over the years, the talab (lake) had fallen into neglect but has recently undergone a major transformation under the Smart City Mission. In September 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated its redevelopment.

Dahod Smart City has made remarkable progress in upgrading its drainage and sanitation infrastructure, setting a strong example for urban development. One of the most impactful projects is the advanced stormwater network, conceptualized in 2019 and successfully completed by January 2022.

While the smart city mission has a large focus on developing public infrastructure, it is also about creating smart citizens who can operate fluidly within this new environment. These citizens can only be made smart if they are educated hand-in-hand with technology. In keeping with that goal, CSCL strives to create a model to equip schools with technology-based digital learning zones for students and teachers to maximize learning outcomes for a smarter future which can be replicated in other schools in the city.

The Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) plays a crucial role in the functioning of a Smart City by acting as its central nerve center. The ICCC comprise video walls for real-time monitoring, emergency response system, operations planning to include critical and 24x7 operations.
